Our Story
Built by parents, scientists, and a Crohn's survivor.
We didn't ask for permission. We didn't take outside money. We made the cleaner our families needed in our own facility — and we're sharing it with yours.
Why We Built This
Four Friends. One Mission.
Italo spent 23 years battling Crohn's disease and frequent hospitalizations. When he traced his flare-ups back to the everyday products in his home, he started reading labels.
He partnered with Elizabeth Uria, PhD — a scientist and mom who refuses to formulate anything she wouldn't use on her own kids. Together with Miguel and John, they built what the cleaning industry refused to make. Zero venture capital. Zero corporate owners. Every bottle made in-house, in small batches, by the same four people.
We didn't start Ecolosophy to build a brand. We started it because our kids deserved a home that wouldn't make us sicker. If it's not safe enough for a dad with Crohn's, it's not going into your home either.
Miguel Valdivia
Co-Founder
Leads manufacturing and operations, personally overseeing every small-batch formula so not a single bottle ships without high standards.
Elizabeth Uria, PhD
Scientist & Formulator
PhD scientist, mother, and the mind behind every Ecolosophy formula. If she wouldn't use it on her own kids, it doesn't ship.
John Vargas

Italo Campilii

Crohn's survivor. Filmmaker. Strategist. Italo leads the brand and movement to detoxify 1 million homes — because no family should suffer from what's hiding under their sink.
Our Story
From 23 years of chronic illness to a mission that's changing how families clean. This is why we built Ecolosophy.
We Detoxed Our Home in 7 Days
and Healed 21 Years of Crohn's
The exact 7-day swap that quieted a 21-year illness — no supplements, no doctors, just one bottle.
How we got here
For years, our founding team battled health issues we couldn't fully explain — chronic inflammation, asthma flares, eczema, migraines, and worse. We pulled bottles off the shelf labeled "natural," "green," "non-toxic." We kept getting sicker.
The breakthrough came in the cleaning aisle. Reading the back of one of those "natural" cleaners, we realized we couldn't pronounce most of the ingredients. The ones we could were known irritants for inflammatory conditions. The "fragrance" line alone could legally hide hundreds of chemicals.
We went home and threw it all out. Then we started mixing our own concentrates with plant-based ingredients we could actually understand. Within weeks, our symptoms started to improve. The kids stopped reacting to the air in their own homes.
Ecolosophy is what happened next.
How we work
Every batch is mixed in our own facility. Not outsourced to a contract manufacturer. Not private-labeled from a generic plant-based base. We see every batch leave.
Every ingredient is on the front of the label. We publish what's in everything because nobody else will. The companies who hide their ingredients are usually hiding something — and your kids breathe what they hide.
The mission
We're building Ecolosophy to detoxify 1 million homes. To prevent 100 million plastic bottles from reaching the ocean. To radically shift what "clean" means for the next generation of parents.
This isn't a brand built to grow at any cost. It's a brand built around a single decision we made one day in a cleaning aisle, holding bottles we couldn't read.
If you've held one of those bottles too — you already understand.
